Congressman Tim Walz headlined one of the biggest I Make America events of 2016 last week at AGCO’s facility in Jackson, Minnesota.

Walz, State Sen. Julie Rosen and State Rep. Bob Gunther joined AGCO leaders, including Bill Hurley, AGCO vice president, sales, North America, and a member of AEM’s AG Sector Board, for a factory tour and speeches to employees about the importance of manufacturing and agriculture to jobs at AGCO and at manufacturers throughout Minnesota.

Hundreds of AGCO employees gathered to hear from elected leaders and company leaders and had a chance to sign up for I Make America and compete in this year’s election-themed game.

AEM Director for International and Regulatory Affairs Alex Russ talked to employees about the I Make America campaign, and how it serves as a voice for the industry on a variety of issues. Russ talked about how expanding exports supports growth, and how U.S. manufacturers are no longer competing with companies in the next town or state over, but on the global playing field.
