Two of Iowa’s four U.S. congressmen joined Kinze Manufacturing at the company’s Williamsburg, Iowa headquarters for an I Make America event to kick off Manufacturing Week.

Congressmen Dave Loebsack and Rod Blum each met with company leaders, toured Kinze, and spoke to employees about the importance of manufacturing in Iowa. Company employees also heard from Jon Kinzenbaw, the company’s founder, CEO and namesake.

The event was the first of the week for I Make America, which had a busy schedule leading up to Manufacturing Day.

Both federal lawmakers had a chance to check out the I Make America truck and meet with constituents. Also in attendance were State Representative Dawn Pettengill and Williamsburg Mayor Frank Murphy. The excitement and interest the elected officials and employees showed reinforces the importance of keeping manufacturing strong in the United States.

The I Make America event was the first for Kinze, a manufacturer of farm equipment including row crop planters and auger grain carts.
