Volvo CE hosted Sen. Bob Casey in its Shippensburg, Pennsylvania production facility, while Congressman Mike Gallagher visited MCL Industries, Inc. in Pulaski, Wisconsin, and Congressman Tim Walberg visited Paladin Attachments in Dexter, Michigan.
Each company hosted sign-up events with employees as well, to grow IMA’s grassroots advocacy network.
Casey visited Volvo on Wednesday to meet with company leaders, tour the facility and talk about issues important to manufacturers in Pennsylvania.
"Manufacturing is critical to the strength of Pennsylvania's economy," said Senator Casey. "Places like Volvo CE help create jobs, grow our economy, and make our commonwealth stronger. Today's visit highlights that Pennsylvania can and will continue to make products that are used around the world. "
Gallagher toured MCL’s facilities on Monday and took questions from employees about infrastructure investment, tax reform and other equipment manufacturing issues facing action in Washington.
“MCL Industries is a great Northeast Wisconsin manufacturer whose innovative products and solutions support over 180 good-paying jobs for the men and women of the 8th District.” He continued, “In Congress, I will continue to be a strong advocate of policies that spur economic growth and make it easier, not harder for manufacturers in Northeast Wisconsin and across the country to prosper.”
And finally, Walberg visited Paladin Attachments on Thursday where he met with company leaders and addressed concerns about pending trade determinations by the Trump administration that could affect input prices for manufacturers.
"Michigan has a rich history of manufacturing excellence, and we need to advance policies that encourage investment and economic growth here at home," said Congressman Walberg. "It was a pleasure to tour Paladin Attachments today, talk with their workers, and hear more about their company and commitment to supporting jobs in the Dexter community."
