Gradall Industries rolled their 20,000th unit off the production line on Friday, and welcomed I Make America to their New Philadelphia, Ohio facilities as part of the celebration.
New Philadelphia Mayor Joel Day declared last Friday “Gradall Industries I Make America Day” in recognition of the company’s decades of contributions to the Northeast Ohio economy.
Gradall President and AEM CE Chair Mike Haberman led a facility tour and program that included dignitaries such as Day, U.S. Congressman Bob Gibbs, State Rep. Al Landis and Dover, Ohio Mayor Richard Homrighausen.
"It is important that we recognize companies like Gradall, who are incredible members of their community," said Rep. Gibbs. "Congratulations to Gradall for continuing to deliver quality products and representing Ohio values."
"Gradall is part of the fabric of Tuscarawas County,” Haberman told a crowd gathered for the festivities. "We've been here a long time, and we want to stay here a lot longer.”
Gradall has been operating for some 70 years, and marked the occasion of shipping their 20,000th excavator by debuting a custom-painted, red, white and blue excavator on Friday. The company handed the keys to the milestone excavator over to the descendants of Gradall’s founders; a Gradall retiree who drove the company’s first New Philadelphia excavator off the line awarded the keys to the family.
