Caterpillar Visit Concludes 2016 I Make America Tour

U.S. Congressman Glenn Grothman helped employees and management at Kondex Corporation celebrate Manufacturing Day on Friday at the company’s headquarters in Lomira, Wisconsin.

Grothman, who is in his first term in Congress, visited with Jim Wessing, an AG Sector Board member and president of Kondex, before speaking with Kondex employees about the importance of manufacturing jobs in his district.

Grothman also toured the facility, speaking with several Kondex employees.

Wessing, Kondex leaders and AEM President Dennis Slater, who was on hand for the event, also had a chance to visit with the Congressman about issues of importance to manufacturers, including the Export-Import Bank, the Renewable Fuel Standard, infrastructure investment, tax reform, and workforce development.

Wessing and his team at Kondex have been active supporters of I Make America since its launch in 2010, hosting events at their facility every year.

At this year’s AEM Annual Conference, Kondex will receive the Legacy Award recognizing the company’s achievement of Gold level status in the AEM Advocates program for five consecutive years.
